Questions

A few things people usually ask

You work through the course modules on your own schedule, with no fixed class times. Each course has a suggested number of study hours, but you decide when and how quickly you move through them — pause, resume and revisit content as needed before the final assessment.
Yes. Every course is assessed against CBET and CDACC standards, the same competency-based framework used across Kenya's TVET system, and closes with a Certificate of Completion you can present to employers or your institution.
In-company mentors are arranged through your training institution's partnership with a host employer. If your institution doesn't yet have one, the Dual CoP is the best place to connect with coordinators who can help set one up.
It depends on the course. Foundational courses like Basic Electrical Principles or Digital Literacy assume no prior background, while some technical trade courses build on skills introduced earlier in the pathway. Each course page lists any prerequisites.
The DUAL TVET Learning Academy is run by the Kenya School of TVET with support from GIZ as a demonstrative Centre of Excellence — course access is provided to trainers, in-company mentors and partner institutions at no charge.
